Vek Incorporated is a software company that began in 1995 when William Neidow, an artist, was working in the printing industry. Aware of the precision and clarity that vector files brought to printing, he searched for a tool that could convert his own original line art and photographs from raster to vector format.
At that time, vector files had to be created meticulously by hand in vector based editing programs. Any level of detail was difficult, and it was a very time consuming process. Unable to find a conversion tool that was up to his standards, William Neidow began working on VEK as a one click software solution for converting raster files to vector with a qualitative artistic eye in mind.
VEK has the ability to convert most raster files to SVG format. It does so quickly with finished files that are clear in detail, small in data size, and have minimal anchor points for ease of image editing.
It took some time for vectors to come into their own. Almost 30 years have passed since VEK first started as a software solution. Now more artists, animators, graphic designers, and web developers have come to understand the value of utilizing vector files separately or in conjunction with digital media in their projects. In addition, the readability of SVG files by modern web browsers and databases has added another dimension to the positive potential vector files bring to the future of the computer industry.
VEK Incorporated has created this website to demonstrate the quality of vector conversion that our software is capable of. We want to make our tool available to others who need a stable and reliable form of vector conversion, most especially at this point of inflection in the evolution of vector file expanded usage. We have chosen detailed images that were gathered off the internet to show the world what VEK can do. If you have any interest in having us test your artwork, photographs, or text for conversion, or have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
